SOME of the biggest names from London's West End will be heading to Blackpool this summer to round off the Livewire Festival in style.

The last day of the four-day event will feature From Movies to Musicals with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

The orchestra will accompany leading names from musical theatre including Ben Forster, John Owen-Jones, Kerry Ellis and Ruthie Henshall.

Ben Forster starred in Jesus Christ Superstar and also took the lead in Elf the Musical at The Lowry, Salford Quays over Christmas 2017 said: "I'm so excited to be a part of this incredible show with such a fabulous orchestra and to be part of an amazing line-up. What a day this is going to be."

Kerry Ellis has played lead roles in Wicked, Les Miserables and Cats and has worked with Queen guitarist Brian May.

John Owen-Jones has had starring roles in both Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera and Ruthie Henshall has performed on both Broadway and the West End in shows including Cats, Oliver and Miss Saigon.

Livewire will be held on Blackpool's Tower Headland from Thursday, July 22 to Sunday, July 25.

Soul and r'n'b star Lauryn Hill has already been announced as the headliner for the Saturday night.
