Food and drink
1) Krispy Kreme doughnuts (The Mall Blackburn)
If you download the Friends of Krispy Kreme app on your smartphone and register for their loyalty scheme, you automatically become eligible for a free doughnut of your choice on your birthday. All you have to do is register with your date of birth and show staff in store! Now that’s a breakfast sorted….
2) Muffin Break (The Mall Blackburn)
If Doughnuts aren’t your thing, you can get your hands on a free muffin instead. Pick up a rewards card at your local store, register it online and voila – free muffin for you!
3) Greggs (Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington)
Ah, Greggs. Everybody loves a fresh, warm, crispy pastry from the master bakers – even better when it’s free! All you have to do to get your hands on a free sweat treat is download the app, register for the free loyalty scheme and walk straight in to claim your reward.
4) Toby Carvery (Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington)
Ok so with this one there is a catch – to avail of the free treat you have to first pay for a carvery, but has anyone ever complained about free ice cream? Sign up for the newsletter and on your birthday you’ll receive your free voucher, as easy as that!
5) Brewers Fayre (Darwen, Burnley)
If you pick up and register a Bonus Club card at Brewers Fayre, you’ll get a free birthday main course when you’re with someone else who is paying full price for theirs. You can pick anything from the menu between the price range of £7-£12.
6) Frankie and Benny’s (Blackburn)
Much like the deal with Brewers Fayre, Frankie and Benny’s are offering a free main meal around you birthday when purchasing another main meal. Again you need to sign up to their rewards scheme to become eligible.
7) Pizza Hut (Blackburn and Burnley)
No meal is complete without a sweat treat at the end, and you’ll be sent a voucher for a free cookie dough dessert on your birthday when you register and online account with Pizza Hut. T&Cs apply.
8) Kaspas Dessert Bar (Blackburn)
You don’t even have to sign up to a newsletter or awards account to get your hands on a free Kaspa’s milkshake, all you need to do is show valid photo ID.
9) Hungry Horse (Blackburn, Nelson)
If you’d rather have a free tipple to celebrate your birthday, get yourself down to your local Hungry Horse for a free birthday drink. All you have to is let them know when your birthday is by signing up to the newsletter and you’ll be automatically entitled to a free pint, 175ml glass of wine or a selection of soft drinks.
Pamper yourself
1) The Body Shop (The Mall Blackburn)
Nothing beats a bit of retail therapy on your birthday, and a £5 voucher to spend online or in store at The Body Shop will make that experience just a bit better yet! Valid for one month after your birthday, there’s no minimum spend. Simply sign up to the Love Your Body loyalty scheme and they’ll credit you with £5 on your birthday.
2) Benefit Brow Bar (The Mall Blackburn)
This is one of our favourite deals out there, and could top-off a day spent eating, drinking and shopping (for free) perfectly well. Get yourself a free eyebrow wax with the pros at the Benefit Brow Bar in Debenhams when you sign up to their beauty card in store. Worth a massive £14.50, this one is well worth it!
3) Elizabeth Arden Facial (The Mall Blackburn)
Another way to pamper yourself is to make the most of the free facial available at all of Debenham’s Elizabeth Arden’s counters. The Oxygen blast facial, worth £15, is available when you sign up to the store’s beauty card.
