When lollipop lady Joan Ward had a major operation in 1982, the children from St James' Junior School in Burnley decided to make her a huge get well card to let them know they were thinking of her.
The card, which was signed by 286 pupils and staff, and had a giant lollipop lady on the front, was delivered to Mrs Ward, who said she would 'treasure it forever'.
