Work will start on Monday to repair the front steps of Lancaster Town Hall.
The landmark building is now 110 years old and wear and tear to the steps over the years mean they are in need of repair, which will take around six weeks to complete.
In all, 13 full steps will be replaced, others will receive indents, and mortar will also be raked out and replaced.
The finished result will improve both the appearance and maintenance of the frontage of the town hall.
