A primary school teacher who leads yoga classes in and around East Lancashire has fulfilled a life long dream by opening her own yoga studio.

Tessa Clemson from Rishton, taught English in Dubai for seven years before becoming a qualified yoga instructor with over three hundred hours of training under her belt.

The 29-year-old currently offers yoga sessions for all levels and abilities, and even teaches the practice to primary school children during their PE lessons.

But after successfully launching her mother and baby and pregnancy yoga classes last year, Miss Clemson took the plunge and decided to open her own studio.

She said: "Since I launched mum and baby yoga things have moved along quickly, and I am now opening a new studio in Great Harwood.

"The timetable is still being finalised but there will be sunrise classes, and daytime classes from Monday to Thursday."

The studio, which is on Glebe Street, will officially open on Monday April 8, but Miss Clemson will be holding an open day on Saturday April 6, for anyone wanting to go along and find out more about the practice.

She said: "The open day is a chance for people to meet me and ask whatever questions they have about yoga, as well as getting to see the studio.

"Local businesses, Finch Bakery, Zucchini and Lisa’s Den will be there to supply the food and decorations too."

The open day will take place between 11am and 4pm on Saturday April 6, at Tessa Clemson Yoga Studio, Glebe Street, Great Harwood.
