WELLIES and coats will be the attire for the weekend as a yellow weather warning for rain will be put in place across East Lancs.
From midnight tonight heavy rain is expected to wash over the county for 24 hours.
This means there is a risk of flooding and spray coming off roads.
Bus and train services might be affected.
A Met Office spokesman said: "A developing area of low pressure will bring heavy rain on Saturday.
"The largest rainfall totals are expected across the higher ground of north Wales where over 100millimetres could fall, this also accompanied by strong winds.
"Elsewhere within the warning area, 40-70 mm is expected."
No warnings have been put in place over Sunday.
