QUICK thinking pharmacist Jenny Kell’s medical training proved priceless when she saw a serious accident while on her way to work in Kendal last year.
Despite having her young twins in the car, she unselfishly jumped out to help a seriously injured 18-year-old who had been hit by a lorry.
Ms Kell used her skills and expertise to tend the victim until paramedics arrived and continued to keep the injured man calm until he could be transported to hospital.
And her actions, which helped save the man’s life, were recognised by the awarding of a Gold Star by her employers Well Pharmacy, who also noted that even after her heroics, she still managed to get to work at the Helme Chase Surgery on time.
