BLACKBURN ROVERS star Craig Conway was left feeling inspired after visiting one of the club's charity partners, East Lancashire Hospice.
The midfielder, the charity’s player ambassador, was given a tour and spoke to patients and staff at the hospice in Park Lee Road in Blackburn.
Craig conceded that he wasn’t sure what to expect when he arrived, but was pleasantly surprised to find such a happy and positive place.
“It’s a brilliant place - an unbelievable and beautiful facility,” he said. “The guys who designed it and the people who I’ve met here are so inspiring.
“You get such a warm feeling when you come in. When you hear about a hospice, you think it’s going to be a dull and depressing place, that’s the perception people have, but now it has definitely changed my views on it. It’s actually a really happy and positive place to be. It’s really important that Blackburn has such a fantastic facility like this."
Sharon Crymble, fundraising manager at the hospice, added: “Having Craig here has been brilliant. It caused a lot of excitement around the hospice and it lifts people’s spirits, which is great.
“We’re very proud to be teamed up with Blackburn Rovers.”
