A NUMBER of Blackburn homes have been left with little or no water this afternoon.
United Utilities confirmed that a burst water main on Preston New Road was the cause for the loss of supply and a team of engineers are currently on their way to the scene.
A spokesman said: "Our team of engineers have been requested to attend to the burst water main on Preston New Road and should be on site as soon as possible.
"We currently have our water on wheels tankers pumping water back into the network to help restore and maintain supplies until repairs are complete.
"We will update this message as soon as our engineers arrive on site. Sorry for the ongoing disruption."
Updates to follow.
