JACK Cork’s first Burnley goal came against Spurs in a 4-2 Turf Moor victory and the midfielder sees no reason why the Clarets can’t be celebrating again come Saturday tea time.

Sean Dyche’s side are unbeaten in seven Premier League games ahead of the lunchtime clash with Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Despite that run of form the Clarets remain just three points above the relegation zone but Cork insists the camp is in confident mood as the search for a first win over Spurs since that May day in 2010.

Cork scored the second as already relegated Burnley came from two goals down to complete a 4-2 win against a Spurs side containing the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and current Burnley man Peter Crouch.

“It seems like a long time ago,” said Cork. “It was a good moment for me, a special moment.

“It’s only 10 years but everything has changed a lot. It’s become a lot more competitive and physical.”

Burnley’s recent record against the ‘big six’ in the Premier League does not make for pretty reading but they drew 2-2 at Manchester United last month and only lost 1-0 in the last minute to Spurs at Wembley earlier in the season.

“It’s another top six side, but we’ve been in great form, we’re seven unbeaten now so we shouldn’t be scared of anyone, especially at home,” added Cork.

“We’ll go in to it with a good attitude and I’m sure we’ll be able to get something.

“We’re in a good place and we know we’re going to go out there and put a good performance in. When we’re all performing well and we’ve got the right attitude then we do get results.

“We limited them to a goalless draw until the last minute when we last played them at their place so hopefully we can do a similar thing. If we can nick a goal then we’ll have a great chance.”
