DRIVERS who continue to leave their cars parked on a pavement outside of a town centre restaurant are once again being warned to change their behaviour.

Officers from Blackburn warned motorists of the dangers of parking their cars directly outside Frankies burger restaurant after a number of complaints from the public - saying they won't hesitate to fine drivers for parking there.

Back at the start of February, The Lancashire Telegraph published an article about how the drivers had been 'blasted' for using the walkway as a carpark.

A spokesman from Blackburn with Darwen police said: "Our warning comes after officers received complaints from members of the public reporting that the situation had become hazardous and causing a danger to pedestrians and other road users.

"Please be reminded that such parking is an offence and may result in a fine. Officers will continue to monitor the situation."
