SPEED camera vans are out on the roads of East Lancashire in a clampdown on dangerous driving and speeding.
The Road Safety Partnership announced on Twitter that the vehicles are focusing on the roads in Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, the Ribble Valley, Preston, South Ribble, Chorley, Blackburn, and Hyndburn.
Through computers and cameras operating inside of the van, officers are able to detect speeding, seat belt offences, mobile phone use and drivers not fully in control of their vehicles.
The road safety enforcement technicians are police staff.
A spokesman said: "The Safety Camera Enforcement vehicles are out on the road and will be enforcing in Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, the Ribble Valley, Preston, South Ribble, Chorley, Blackburn, Hyndburn and the M65 motorway over the next few days."
