A BLACKBURN care home which closed last year is due to go under the hammer later this month when it will feature among more than 130 lots at Pugh’s next North West property auction.
The 8,000 sq ft former Longworth House care home at Ramsgreave will be auctioned with a guide price of £875,000. The property has 26 bedrooms, and a further 2,000 sq ft two-bedroom annexe, as well as stables and
workshops.
Pugh managing director Paul Thompson said: “The property is in a great location, close to Clitheroe, Blackburn and the Forest of Bowland, and it has fantastic views out across the Ribble Valley.
“Subject to planning consent, this building, which is on a spacious 4.5 acre site, could be put to a variety of new uses. It will be interesting to see how things progress at the auction and the Pugh team have already
had considerable interest in Longworth House from potential buyers.”
