RAMSBOTTOM United twice came from two goals down to go within six minutes of knocking National League heavyweights AFC Fylde out of the FA Trophy on Tuesday night.

Chris Willcock's men drew 5-5 with their high-level opponents and will travel to Fylde for a replay on Tuesday with a spot in the last eight on the line.

AFC Fylde took the lead on 10 minutes when Serhat Tasdemir, who looked to be in an offside position, slotted home.

Fylde doubled their lead on 33 minutes when Nick Haughton picked up a stray pass, found space outside the area and thread a shot home.

The Rams roared back with two goals in two minutes. First, Luke Thompson headed home and then Nic Evangelinos levelled.

With half-time approaching, AFC Fylde took the lead when Jordan Tunnicliffe headed home from a corner.

The Rams began the second half in the worst possible style as the visitors Tasdemir added a fourth two minutes in.

Evangelinos sparked another comeback with his second on the hour before five minutes late Ruben Jerome equalised.

Seven minutes from time Evangelinos put the Rams ahead for the first time when he bundled home to complete his hat-trick.

But there was one more twist in the thrilling tie as Fylde equalised on 86 minutes through Andy Bond to force a replay.
