A SPONSORED walk organised by Father Brian Keeley of Darwen's Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Parish raised £1,331 for the town's Rotary Club's 'Tower Fund'.
Parishioners, families and 30 pupils from St Edward's and St Joseph's Primary Schools walked from the town centre to the Jubilee Tower.
The Rotary Club is helping to raise the £150,000 needed to repair the Victorian Structure.
Its president Alex Stuttard, who accepted the cheque, said: "It is the largest single donation to our Tower Fund which now stands at £58,428."
