A FIRE has broken out in a disused mosque.
The blaze happened in the three-storey former Shah Jalal Mosque in Longholme Road, Rawtenstall.
Two fire engines from Rawtenstall and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were scrambled to tackle the fire at around 8.30am today (January 22).
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Nobody was injured.
