PLACES are still available to join 'King of the Jungle' and four-time World Superbike champion Carl 'Foggy' Fogarty on charity trek through the Transylvanian Alps.

The five-day adventure will be led by the Blackburn-born winner of 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' in 2014 and 30 intrepid explorers have already signed up to join him.

The trek through lush forests and alpine meadows up to the rugged rocky peaks of the Carpathian mountain will raise cash for national children's charity the NSPCC.,

Ribble Valley resident Mr Fogarty, 53, said: “This is my fourth trek for NSPCC, and I’m really looking forward to taking on this new challenge.

“In the past I’ve had an amazing time with my team mates, and I know there’s nothing better than settling down to camp at night knowing how much you’ve achieved that day.

“It’s not just the miles you trek either, it’s knowing that every step you take is helping a child live a better, safer, happier life.”

NSPCC fundraising manager Rachel Walker said: “I’m really excited about the Transylvania Trek. Not only have we got a great bunch of people already, but the scenery all along the route looks truly awe inspiring.

"Foggy being our celebrity group leader is amazing news.."
