ALL of us want to make sure our loved ones are getting the best level of treatment possible.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England, tries to ensure this by monitoring and rating care homes and acting when failings come to light.

And the CQC puts care homes into four ratings: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement or Inadequate.
