A shock was delivered which we did not expect,

The death of a weather presenter with whom we did connect.

For twenty years she came into our homes every night,

Transmitting warmth and humour,a shinning light.

A true celebrity whom we held so dear,

I still can’t believe Dianne is no longer here.

Why on earth does she still not live,

A woman,a friend who had so much to give.

Dianne brought sunshine onto our screen,

The shock of her passing was unforeseen.

She was an icon we wanted to live on for ever,

Humble and humorous keeping us in touch with the weather.

Watched and constantly welcomed on our screen,

The North West Tonight weather forecast Queen.

Genuine banter and chemistry she did cast,

With Annabel and Roger on the bench after her forecast.

A bright vibrant broadcaster gone too soon,

Now a star in the sky next to the sun and the moon.

Dianne was so talented, beautiful and so full of life,

A loving mother and an amazing wife .

To Ian her husband and her family we send,

Our condolences and good wishes to help them mend.

Dianne will forever remain in our hearts,

It won’t be the end when she finally departs.
