A MAN from Oswaldtwistle is set to appear before Blackburn magistrates in relation to a number of sexual and prostitution allegations involving teenage girls.
The allegation relate to girls aged between 17 and 27 and are said to have taken pace between September 2016 and May 2018.
A police spokesman said: "A 61-year-old man from Oswaldtwistle has been reported for summons for offences including: one offence of paying for the sexual services of a girl aged 16 to 17, seven offences of sexual assault., four offences of causing/inciting prostitution for gain, two offences of causing/inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity and one offence of attempting to pay for the sexual services of a girl aged 13 to 15. He is due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court on February 7."
