A WOMAN has died in hospital following a crash in Clitheroe last week.
The 93-year-old died in Royal Preston Hospital on Thursday, December 6, after she was airlifted from the scene in a critical condition.
She was a passenger in a Honda Jazz driven by a 90-year-old man who is currently in hospital recovering.
The accident happened at around 2.30pm on December 3.
The driver of a second vehicle, a Ford Transit, was not injured in the accident.
The road was closed for close to three hours while accident investigators attended the scene.
Sgt Andy Ainsworth, of Lancashire Police, said: “These are tragic circumstances and my thoughts are with the woman involved and her family at this very sad time.
"We continue to appeal for information and if you saw what happened and have yet to speak to police, please come forward."
