A NUMBER roads will be closed at the weekend for the Blackburn Festival of Light & Lantern Parade.
The event will include a short fireworks display from the roof of the Making Rooms in Blackburn.
In order for the event to go ahead safely there will be some road closures in place. The full list is below.
The roads closed will be Church Street, Town Hall Street, New Market Street, Lord Street, Ainsworth
Street, Brown Street carpark, Tackett Street, The Mall carpark ramp, Museum Street, Richmond Terrace, Blakey Moor, Exchange Street
Church St 16:00-20:00

A notice from Penine Events reads: “During the road closure periods advertised above vehicle access will be facilitated to dwellings and businesses as much as is reasonably possible.
“We recognise the proposed road closures for the Festival Of Light Lantern Parade and the arrangements for the fireworks may cause some disruption.
“These measures are put in place for safety reasons, to allow the event to happen safely.
