CINEMA returns to Carnforth this Saturday (December 8) with two screenings at the town's Civic Hall.

Young and old can experience a good-old fashioned matinee at 2pm with a showing of animated adventure Incredibles 2.

Meanwhile, recently released British comedy Swimming with Men, starring Rob Brydon, Jane Horrocks, Jim Carter and Rupert Graves, will be screened at 7.30pm.

The town council has teamed up with Eden Arts and Cinema North to help bring the silver screen back to Carnforth.

Snacks and drinks will be on sale at the family film afternoon, and the film night will feature a free hotpot supper.

Town clerk Bob Bailey said: "Public feedback from our first film night in October suggested there was potential to put on an event for families and we are delighted to respond by screening the recently released Incredibles 2, from Disney Pixar. "

He added: "My advice would be to get your tickets as soon as possible as they’re bound to go quickly."
