AN entrepreneur has developed a new app to make gyms cleaner.
Dean Boyle, of Burnley-based Gym Upholstery UK, has introduced a free and easy-to-service app, RecoPad, to the digital market.
The director has created the app to make gyms more clean as machine pads often host 'alarming' levels of potentially harmful bacteria.
Mr Boyle, from Colne, says the new app will be able to speed up the job by highlighting the worn and ripped equipment that needs replacing or repairing.
He said: “The app is used pretty much every day in the UK now, with regular and repeat business customers saying actioning essential pad repair is no longer the horrible and laborious job they put off.
“Simply touch the image on screen to identify the problem area.
"Numbered dots will then appear where the work is required, plus you can add notes per item and then send to receive an accurate quote pretty instantly - including new parts, labour and call out charges."
