A WOMAN from Oswaldtwistle who has set up her own business to help those suffering from anxiety is holding a series of workshops to help people retrain their brains.

Kay Johnston from Karma Minds, will host a series of anxiety management sessions to provide insight into and give individuals techniques for coping with the disorder.

The sessions, called Retrain Your Brain, are focused on helping people become more aware of anxiety-related issues, and will offer information on how they can help themselves manage their own anxiety and worry less.

Mrs Johnston said: "For the past 10 years I've had a growing interest in self-development, and in 2011 I qualified as a counsellor.

"Since then I've worked with a diverse group of individuals and have often found myself using coaching and counselling skills to help them get through challenging times in their lives. I enjoy helping others and have always tried to make time for people when they need support.

"After witnessing work colleagues and friends suffering with anxiety and depression, I decided to create a series of workshops to help people to cope with their anxious thoughts and feelings."

Running for four weeks, the workshops will be held at different venues across East Lancs with the first one at Whalley Old Grammar School on Tuesday November 27.
