WOODLAND at Underbarrow, near Kendal, sold for more than double its guide price at auction.
The 0.75 acre site had a guide price in excess of £10,000 and went under the hammer for £26,000 at the sale held by H&H Michael C L Hodgson.
Forty-two acres of meadow and pasture land at Underbarrow also sold in four lots, with a total sale price of £257,000.
