A TOWN celebrated the start of the festive period with the Christmas light switch on.
More than a dozen pictures from the event on Darwen town square were taken by a photographer from Lancashire Telegraph.
They include images of Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle performing on stage and the actual lights switch on moment.
