A TOWN’S nightlife is about to get a whole lot more vibrant thanks to the opening of a new late night party venue.

Bosses at the Voodoo Lounge in Accrington say the club is 'back with a bang' after its closure two months ago.

Since then, new owner Dillon Hodgson has put his heart and soul into the venue, transforming it into a fresh new location for revellers.

Speaking about the works which have taken place, the 22-year-old from Burnley said: "We've cleaned the place up - new carpets are in and it has a fresher feel to it.

"It had a deep-clean before it was repainted and new light and sound systems will ensure a great experience for all of our customers.

"It really is going to be bigger and better than ever before."

The former events manager, who has worked in hospitality for over five years, has said he hopes his past experience in the industry will help make a success of his new venture.

Speaking about the support he has received from the public, Mr Hodgson said he was delighted with how much interested there had been.

He said: "People are familiar with the club under previous management as it has been running for around 15 years, so when they heard it was re-opening, they were really positive about it.

"One post that we have published on facebook has had 25,000 interactions, so we're hoping for a really good turnout this weekend."

For the opening weekend, which is taking place over October 26 and 27, the team at Voodoo Lounge have prepared two days full of entertainment for party-goers.

Mr Hodgson explained: "It's Halloween so on Saturday we'll be celebrating that. There will be special drinks deals for the opening weekend and moving forward we will have permanent deals, like on Fridays which will be 10-4-10, which means you pay £10 on the door and then get 10 house drinks at the bar."

Voodoo lounge will open every Friday and Saturday night from 11.30pm-4.40am.
