CELEBRITIES including a chart-topping pop star and the founder of a global fashion brand have come together in support of Accrington boy Charlie Procter.

American singer song-writer Pink has donated £10,000 to the five-year-old's GoFundMe page over the weekend, and then took to Instagram to spread awareness of fundraising efforts currently taking place to get Charlie to the US for life-saving treatment.

She said: "I just came across this beautiful child and I would like to help him. Please help to help him if you can."

Meanwhile Manchester fashion retailer and business man Umar Kumani donated £5,000 to the page and then shared the account on his Twitter to his 130,000 followers.

It was announced last week that doctors have given Charlie just two weeks to live unless his family can raise the £850,000 needed to take him to the states for life-saving treatment.

His GoFundMe page has now raised £317,000.

His mum Amber Schofield said: "This is proof how sharing helps! Please don’t give up - we can do this."
