A CAMPAIGN is under way across a town to create knitted poppies to help commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War.
The poppies will be used to decorate Burnley war memorials and other key sites in the area in the run-up to and during Remembrance events in November.
One of the groups busy creating poppies is based at Valley Street Textiles Studio.
The lady who runs the studio is called Haesel Abbott and she made poppy bunting using fabric from the first dress she ever made.
The group has knitted a variety of poppies and have said they are very proud to be part of helping to decorate the town for the Remembrance centenary.
