Fire crews were called out to a fire involving two vehicles on Sunday.
At around 4.35pm on Sunday October 7, one fire engine from Chorley fire station attended a car fire in Blackburn Street, Chorley.
On arrival, firefighters found one vehicle, a Toyota Yaris, to be on fire, which then spread to a Vauxhall Meriva.
One firefighter donned breathing apparatus and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Both cars were extensively damaged.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "One fire engine and one crew from Chorley attended a fire involving two vehicles.
"The fire was extinguished using a hose reel and one BA.
"Police were called to the incident and have organised the removal of the vehicles, which were thought to have been in the area for some time.
"The incident is under police investigation."
