AN off-road bike has been seized as police crack down on their use.

The vehicle was removed by Blackburn's neighbourhood policing team after the driver was stopped on Cranbrook Street.

He has been reported for driving without a license or insurance.

Officers said bikes are being driven in a 'dangerous manner' and warned people they shouldn't be on the road.

It comes after police recently raised concerns about an 'increasing' number of reports of anti-social behaviour involving off-road motorbikes in Blackburn.

A police spokesman said: "These bikes are not taxed or insured, and many have been witnessed riding dangerously, including mounting pavements and causing distress to local residents.

"The neighbourhood team are committed to removing these bikes from the roads, and prosecuting those using them.
