LIVE comedy is well and truly on the world stage as a ‘must do’ entertainment event with a trio of hot acts on the circuit heading to Lancaster.

Following a successful debut night, The Comedy Club at the city’s Dalton Rooms opens its door on Saturday (September 11, 8pm) for another acclaimed two-hour show, featuring Belfast boy Ryan McDonnell, the anecdotal, observational and refreshingly honest, Gerry K, and well-known face of radio, Steve Royle.

Steve is an actor, writer, comedian, juggler, as well as regular presenter over the airwaves of BBC Radio Lancashire. During the last few years he has supported Peter Kay many times and had a part in the hit TV comedy, Phoenix Nights.

Meanwhile, Gerry K won The Comedy Store's 'King Gong', Metrolife Comedy Newcomer, and The Comedy Cafe’s Best Newcomer Awards. Following recent successes, Gerry's performed several headline spots and hosted the football forum with Jeff Stelling and Rodney Marsh for Zoo Magazine.

Ryan McDonnell - who will MC Saturday’s gig - interjects a sharp wit and Irish charm in his observation of everyday life. Ryan was a runner up in the 2009 Amused Moose Laugh Off final in Edinburgh and a 2008 Magners Comedy Awards finalist.

The laugh-a-minute Lancaster events are masterminded by Comedy Club Limited, which is based in Chelmsford, and stages shows up and down the UK.
