THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (VARIOUS ROADS, CARLISLE CITY & DISTRICT)(CONSOLIDATION AND PROVISION OF SPEED LIMITS) (NO. 7) (ORDER 2017) VARIATION (NO.2) ORDER 2020
1. Cumbria County Council hereby give notice that on 4 August 2020 it made the above Order under Section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
2. The Order will come into operation on 14 August 2020 and its effect will be to:
(a) Introduce a 20 mph speed limit on that section of the CI037 (at the southern end of Scalegate Road, Carlisle), from a point approx. 30m south of its junction with Oaklands Drive for a distance of approx. 158m in a southerly direction; and
(b) Introduce a 30 mph speed limit on that section of the CI 037, from a point approx. 188m south of its junction with Oaklands Drive for a distance of approx. 100m in a southerly direction. Please refer to the documents on deposit for full details.

4. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 4 August 2020 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
