Boy, 13, remanded over man's murder
A 13-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with murder.
The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court.
His case was sent to the Old Bailey where a bail hearing has been set for May 7 and a preliminary hearing on May 19.
The youngster, who was wearing a long-sleeved grey T-shirt, was asked to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
The teenager, who was remanded in custody, is accused of the murder of Martin Thomas, 39, on April 22. He died during a break-in and was pronounced dead at his home in Huntingfield Road, Roehampton, south-west London.
A post-mortem examination gave cause of Mr Thomas's death as haemorrhaging due to a stab wound to the lung, police said.
A 15-year-old boy has already appeared in court charged with murder and has been remanded in custody.
