STOREYS need a point from their last match to be crowned North Lancashire League champions. The tightest race in the league's history sees Marsh United on top of the pile - but they have completed their fixtures meaning Storeys, who are one point adrift, will take the title if they avoid defeat in their final game. The two big hitters have the same goal difference - but Storeys have one more win than their big rivals and are now favourites to hand Spike Wynn the title before he retires. Now all eyes and ears will be focused on mid-table Ingleton on Saturday as Storeys head into North Yorkshire ready to claim the crown. They took a giant leap towards the crown when they travelled to Cartmel on Saturday, fully aware that a fall would end their challenge. And they had to battle up the final furlong as Cartmel threw everything at Storeys only for Bob Eccles to score the decisive goal.TIC Dynamos finished on a high as they hammered Swarthmoor 6-0 with Steve Wiggins bagging a brace, while Slyne saw off basement boys Torrisholme 3-1. But there was pain for Highgrove, who went down 4-1 at home to Kirkby Lonsdale.Halton Rangers and Morecambe Hoops are promoted into the top flight after Storeys reserves held Bentham to a 0-0 draw. Hoops are the champions after a 0-0 draw with Ingleton reserves and a brace from Steven Hay made sure Halton could party with a 3-1 win at Cartmel reserves.Highgrove reserves are Division Two champions and celebrated in style as Peter Myerscough's hat-trick helped them to a 5-0 stroll over Kirkby Lonsdale reserves. They will be joined in Division One by local rivals Bowerham.Meanwhile, Bolton-le-Sands reserves and Halton Rangers reserves are champions of Division Three and Division Four.
