Morecambe enjoyed a super Saturday as they beat Barrow by six wickets, with a half-century from Phil Thornton helping them towards victory.
They put Barrow in to bat and restricted the visitors to 120-8, with pro Pasan Wanasinghe scoring an unbeaten 63 and Ian Allington 22.
Gareth Pedder, Graham Lee and Bruce Martin all claimed two wickets apiece.
Morecambe comfortably reached the target set for them, Thornton hitting 52 not out, while Martin added 36 and Phil Dennison 14 not out.
A fine knock of 89 from Tim Barry wasn't enough to prevent Lancaster slipping to a five-wicket defeat against Kendal at Shap Road.
He helped the visitors to 181-5, with Michael Walling adding 36 and Ryan Nelson 30.
But Kendal were up to the challenge, replying with 185-5 as opener Ikram Ullah scoried 73, Ross McMillan 35 and Terry Hunte 27.
The highest scorers of the day were Carnforth who moved into second place after a 76-run win over Darwen.
Ryan Bailey had a debut to remember for the hosts, hitting 89 as Carnforth posted 225-8.
Skipper Adam Hornby contributed a rapid fire 48 before being run out - 44 of his runs coming from boundaries with four sixes and five fours.
In reply, Darwen were dismissed for 149, pro Atif Ashraf their top scorer with a knock of 65.
Carnforth debutant, Warren Quinn, claimed four wickets.
