BURNLEY’S teenage pace bowler Cole Hayman will only be able to play as a batsman over the next couple of Foster’s Lancashire League games.
The 18-year-old, who is part of the Lancashire youth set-up, is one of the quickest bowlers in the league but Red Rose chiefs have ordered him not to bowl as he recovers from a niggling injury.
He played as a batsman only in Sunday’s derby with Lowerhouse and top scored with 37.
