TORRISHOLME suffered in the Saturday sun as they lost their Palace Shield Division One clash with Wrea Green by three wickets on Saturday.
Batting first, the locals could only manage 163 all out with Paul McKevitt's 51 being the main bright spot.
But that target was passed by Wrea Green with three wickets in hand despite Matthew Jackson claiming three wickets.
And it wasn't a good day for Torrisholme seconds either as they were walloped by eight wickets by Blackpool thirds in Division Four.
They were bowled out for 135 - and Blackpool coasted home.
* Torrisholme will host the few people from Kirkham and Wesham not travelling to Wembley for the FA Vase final in the first round of the Meyler Cup on Sunday.
