DELIGHTED Sammy McIlroy kept his feet on the ground after the Shrimps moved closer towards their safety net on Saturday.
The 1-0 win at Barnet ended a four-match run without victory and took Morecambe to 47 points.
"We are three points closer," smiled McIlroy. "And when we have 50 points we will look at the next target.
"I thought it was an excellent display and we were in control from the start."
Of the goal, scored by Garry Thompson, the manger joked: "I thought Thommo should have scored with his first effort!
"But he reacted well to score and I an delighted."
