County Cricket: Lancashire hammered by Notts

DEFENDING County Champions Lancashire saw their return to Old Trafford wrecked this morning as Nottinghamshire wrapped up a 185-run win before lunch on Day Four.

In trouble overnight at 39-5, the Red Rose went down fighting for a while with Luke Procter hitting 41 and skipper Glen Chapple making 26.

But they were 146 all out shortly after 1pm.

Lancashire have now lost three and drawn one of their four games so far this season.
