SANDYGATE Amateur Boxing Club held its annual awards night to honour the feats of its young boxers.
The event, hosted by head coach and Burnley coach of the year Nik Tucker, was held at Rosegrove Unity WMC.
Sandygate old boy, unbeaten professional Shayne Singleton, was on hand to dish out the awards.
The top award of the night went to Charlie Martin, 14, from Nelson who was named boxer of the year after an hugely impressive 12 months in the ring.
Clitheroe’s Alfie Wardle was named most improved fighter with the bout of the year award going to Great Harwood’s ABA Minors national finalist, James Kimberley after the St Augustine’s pupil won the North West title in superb style.
All of the boxers were presented with a dvd of all their bouts and also a cd crammed with photos of them in action.
