BLACKBURN Rovers have once again blown away their Premier League rivals in terms of offering their fans value for money – with the Ewood Park faithful given top flight football at less than £12 per game.

Rovers announced their season ticket prices today as new owners Venky’s continued the previous regime’s efforts to ensure Ewood Park is the cheapest place to watch Premier League football, with an adult seat available for just £225 in the Riverside and Blackburn End stands.

Rovers prices not only beat any of their Premier League rivals but also offer the cheapest standard season ticket anywhere in the Football League, excluding a few early bird and other special deals.

Arsenal’s cheapest season ticket price for next season is £951, while the likes of Liverpool, Fulham, Spurs and Chelsea have raised their prices well above the rate of inflation.

In contrast, juniors (aged under 16) can buy season tickets at Rovers for just £85, which works out less than £4.50 a game.

Rovers have also introduced a new family season ticket in the Blackburn End Family Stand, giving family groups 10 per cent of their price and offers kids’ meal deals and a revamped family lounge.

The unreserved seating section in the WEC Darwen End also returns, with a 19-game option available at £225 as well as the innovative 16-game ticket for just £165.

Fans opting for all 19 games will be able to relocate to other stands for the three extra matches that will see the away following fill the Darwen End.

Rovers boss Steve Kean has already promised exciting times ahead after revealing he has a “very, very healthy” summer transfer budget available to him.

New signings are expected with Venky’s hoping for a return to the top 10 next season.

Rovers’ managing director Tom Finn said: “Our strategy of offering the most affordable football in the Premier League has proved particularly successful in recent seasons, both in terms of atmosphere/attendances and our impressive record here at Ewood Park.

“Our owners, who have exciting plans for the future of the club, are keen to continue the pricing policy which has been so welcomed by fans.

“Our season ticket prices represent incredible value in comparison not only to our top-flight rivals, but within football as a whole.

“In trying times financially for fans, we felt that it was hugely important to show continuity in our pricing structure, as well as to reward the supporters for their superb backing again this season.”

Season tickets will go on sale from 9am on Thursday and all current season ticket holders will receive renewal packs by post from the middle of next week.

Due to the specific requirements of the Family Season Ticket offer, transactions should be carried out at the Roverstore at Ewood Park.

As usual, direct debit instalment plans are available to help fans spread the cost.

The ‘claim your own seat’ and direct debit deadline is Thursday June 30th.

Fans should retain their season ticket card for use next season. More information can be found at www.rovers.co.uk.
