FARVEEZ MAHAROOF has been called up by Sri Lanka for their forthcoming Test series against England The all rounder joined up with his international team mates after helping Lancashire Lightning beat Notts Outlaws in a CB40 match at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Test series gets underway this Thursday at Cardiff with the tour culminating in the Third Test on June 16 at the Rose Bowl.
Mike Watkinson, Lancashire cricket director, said: "Farveez made an immediate impact on our squad and demonstrated his undoubted talent with both bat and ball in the games he played for us.
"It was his desire to get back into the Sri Lanka squad and it is no surprise that he has been recalled. He goes with our blessing and we wish him well."
