BLACKBURN Rovers have started the search for a new chairman as they look for someone with the necessary ‘experience’ to help take the club forward.
Former chief John Williams ended his 13-year tenure at Ewood a week ago with Venky’s now looking at a variety of options to make sure they get their right man.
The club’s Indian owners are understood to have a number of possible contenders in mind.
Vineeth Rao, director of marketing for Venky’s India, said: “We are trying to find a good experienced chairman and we do have some options"
Mr Rao would not comment on potential replacements for Williams but the Lancashire Telegraph understands former group commercial director of the FA, Jonathan Hill, is being considered.
Hill is currently working for Kentaro, the advisors Venky’s, as their chief operating officer but is understood to only be one of several candidates.
