Glen Chapple wants to continue as Lancashire captain next season.
Chapple took over from Stuart Law 12 months ago and is keen to carry on as skipper.
“I have enjoyed being captain,” said the 35-year-old.
“It is something we need to talk about but I am keen to go again.”
And Chapple has been backed by cricket director Mike Watkinson.
“There is a process we go through every year regarding the captaincy, there has to be accountability in that role and at a club like Lancashire it is a tough job,” he explained.
“But I think Glen has done really well this year.”
