Cricketers show their love for Lancashire

Lancashire County Cricket Club hopes to get its supporters in a spin with a new campaign.

Its This Is My Lancashire campaign sees 13 of the Old Trafford first team starring in photographs out and about at various sites across the county and talking about what the local area means to them.

The photos are to be used by the club throughout this season to promote the county, on merchandise, fixture lists and posters.

A spokesman for the club said: “Lancashire County Cricket Club is one of the biggest cricket club’s in England, if not the world.

“Since its formation in 1864, the club has been built on a foundation of pride, drive and excellence, but an underlying theme to this success is the relationship with the region and the people it represents.

“Most of the current squad are born and bred in this beautiful county, and those who aren’t have chosen to make Lancashire their home.

“Every member of the coaching and playing staff is extremely proud to wear the Red Rose, and every time they cross that rope, not only are they playing for themselves and their teammates, but every member and supporter, both past and present.”
