LANCASTER City lost their latest pre-season game when big spending Leigh Genesis won 1-0 at Giant Axe on Thursday.
Genesism, the club formerly known as Leigh RMI, fielded a strong team including former Burnley and Swansea star Brad Maylett, one-time Morecambe loan man Jerome Watt, ex-Newcastle and Birmingham ace Chris Holland.
Another big named star, Darren Manseram, scored the goal after the break.
City travel to Kidsgrove Athletic on Saturday for a reunion with their former boss Peter Ward.
