Had a great Saturday at Pembrey in South Wales with two second places.
Sunday race one: I lapped another rider in the 20 minute race and was really consistent with lap times.
Wow, fantastic!
Race two on Sunday ended on the very fast Brooklands corner when another rider took me out, taking me on the outside of the left hander, and turning in on me.
The impact took my front brake lever off, and left me with no brakes when I needed them.
I was heading straight for the very hard barriers so a quick jab on the rear brake with my still-working right foot, I managed to lay the bike down (at about 80mph!) on to the grass.
I stoped about three feet short of the barrier with concussion - but the bike didn't.
I have a broken arm at the wrist, a twisted right ankle and some fantastic bruises.
But no fear, the damage to the bike is mainly cosmetic and the arm should be OK for Donington on 4th August.
It's just hard to work on the bike with one hand.
With injuries and cost of parts I'm on baked beans on toast the rest of the year.
At least the other rider apologised after the race.
