LOWERHOUSE will face neighbours Burnley in the final of the Worsley Cup next month.

House overcame Crompton while Burnley beat Todmorden to set up a final date on August 5.

Ben Heap made 66 for the Lowerhouse as they were bowled out for 184 in the final over of their innings with Chris Bleazard unbeaten on 27.

Crompton, who only had 10 batsman available, were never really in the chase and were bowled out for 92.

Sub pro Imran Khalid took 3-10 and Joey Hawke 3-29 for House.

The other semi-final saw Todmorden bat first and post 237-9 with Kai Abbas making a half century down the order while Ben Pearson made 42.

In reply Burnley made good early progress with Chris Holt making 75 at the top of the order while pro Asif Zakir added 86.

They put the visitors in the driving seat at 196-2 before Joey Marshall and Zakir fell in quick succession.

Joe McCluskie hit a quickfire 27 to take his side to the brink before he was bowled but Chris Burton hit the winning runs.
